happened to have 116 leaded fuel available, would it be pump gas simply because it was obtained from a pump? No. I think "pump gas" is just the generic term for any gas you can get at any service station, 94 octane or lower. And "race gas" is the generic term for gas with an octane rating of 95 or higher, wether it's distributed from a pump or not.
